Meiyee (Mei-Yee Tan) is a Background Artist and Children’s Book Illustrator from Malaysia. Along the way, she has lived in Kuala Lumpur and Beijing before residing in New York. She finished her BFA degree at the School of Visual Arts.
Part of the Daytime Emmy nominated team that created Canticos - a preschool bilingual series, she painted colorful backgrounds for Season 3 as well as numerous projects in children’s book publishing, app creation and games. Currently working at Titmouse as a Background Painter.
When she is not working, you’ll find her watching True Crime videos and playing indie video games.
Fun Fact: She speaks 4 languages and could definitely recommend the best picks for restaurants in NYC.
